Explore the Big Island’s private landscapes by ATV

For an adventurous way to experience the Big Island beyond the resort areas, an ATV tour takes you into rugged private lands, scenic countryside, and places that are otherwise difficult to access.

One of our favorite options is the Umauma Deluxe ATV Tour, which combines an off-road ride through the beautiful Umauma area with time at a private waterfall and swimming hole. You can choose between driving your own ATV, sharing a vehicle with a passenger, or riding along with a guide.

Umauma Deluxe ATV Tour

Explore the private lands of Umauma on an off-road adventure through lush North Hilo countryside. The tour covers approximately 5.5 miles of scenic terrain before stopping at a private waterfall and swimming hole, where you'll have about 45 minutes to enjoy the area, take a quick swim, and enjoy a light local snack.

Choose from a single ATV, a 2-seat vehicle, a 4-seat side-by-side, or ride along with a guide if you prefer not to drive.
